Aaron H. Bible is a writer and photographer based in Denver, Colorado. He is an adjunct professor of photography, author, art consultant, and adventurer.
Bible characterizes his work primarily as documentary photography. This work, while inflected with a modern style, harkens back to many Southern photographer ideals of nostalgia, the conflict between man and nature, and change. He is perhaps best known for his portraits, which range from isolated studio treatment to extended environmental portraits. His first book, Portrait Savannah, was widely acclaimed and is still available in stores nationwide or direct through this website. He is currently shooting and researching for a documentary on Appalachia; shooting for his next book on Rottweilers and their owners; continuing to make portraits and shooting found objects in continuation of several bodies of work; and teaching photography. When not behind the camera or in front of the computer, Bible can be found riding his bike, running trails, and skiing. Whether at work or at play, Bible is continually attempting to break new ground and link together stretches of the journey he calls art and life.
We are eager to communicate and collaborate with you and are currently accepting new clients and editorial assignments. All commercial requests and photography needs will be given consideration.
